Congratulations to Spanish major, Julia Kahn (Class of 2020), who published a revised English translation of her senior essay (winner of the Department’s Jaime Yordán Prize) in the first issue of Yale Undergraduate Research Journal (1 October 2020), under the title, “Jewish Ancestral Languages and Communicating the Sephardic Experience: The Judeo-Spanish of Tela de sevoya.” Another article, “19th and 20th Century Origins of Anti-Semitism during the Guerra Sucia in Argentina,” appeared in Shibboleth 8 (Spring 2020).
