Orit Gugenheim Katz

B.A. from Columbia University in Comparative Literature, with a concentration in Latin American and Iberian Cultures (2021)

Orit Gugenheim Katz was born and raised in Mexico City, and obtained her B.A. from Columbia in Comparative Literature. Her research interests include 19th and 20th-century Latin American literature; the study of exile as an opportunity for transnational encounters and for (re)creating the homeland through literature; and the effects of Judaism on the identities and oeuvres of Jewish writers within these regions and time periods.
